Sainik Schools are among the most prestigious educational institutions in India, designed to prepare young students academically, physically, and mentally for entry into the National Defence Academy (NDA), Indian Naval Academy, and other leadership roles.
Established in 1961, Sainik Schools are residential schools under the Ministry of Defence. They follow the CBSE curriculum but with a focus on discipline, confidence, and defence-oriented training. Currently, there are 33 Sainik Schools across India.
Students live in hostel houses with friends. Mess provides nutritious meals, warden ensures discipline, and the daily routine includes morning PT, classes, evening sports, and prep time.
Admission is through the AISSEE (All India Sainik School Entrance Exam) conducted by NTA.

Students follow a military-style routine including morning parade, NCC training, obstacle courses, adventure camps, and guest lectures from defence officers.
